Hey Guys our very own has launched a Kickstarter for his

I love hosting the MOCC, the sense of community, all of us working toward the same goal.

It feels good, but the truth is it's a lot of hard work!

And this is one of the hardest parts,

THE JUDGING!

Thankfully agreed to help out with that chore.

Gene is an experienced professional we're fortunate to have his input.

We broke it down to 3 categories.

Art- meaning the overall quality of the art work.
Story- not just the narrative, but how well it fit into the overall story.
Storytelling- Which I know you know this is different from story,
meaning how well you tell your story with images alone.

We gave 1-10 points for each category for an potential score of 30.

We scored each contestant individually without prior knowledge of each others scores or comments

and then added our scores together for an overall maximum score of 60 for each.

Bluestar- 39 pts.

It was good to see Mace stretch out of his comfort zone employing great use of perspective and pose.
He also had neat solution for cameos and ending his bout in cooperation.

Solid art with clean lines and colors.
I liked the main character’s heroism, his desire to avoid the fight and do the right thing even though he's incredibly powerful.
It’s nice that the story ended with a laugh too.

Bluejaye- 51 pts.

I expected the champ to bring it and he didn’t disappoint.
We got a cleanly told story that picked up the narrative perfectly with good fight choreography and great colors and lettering.
Every thing came together for a super entry.

Dynamic panel layouts and action throughout. Great anatomy. Some of the strongest panel flow. Really clean lettering which helped the story flow.

Gilead- 42 pts.

Gary stepped up with a solid entry showcasing his OC's great strength.

He also used that as a plot device to work in a bunch of cameos.
He also managed to keep Herod in line and on point while keeping him in the story's conclusion.

Lots of powerful figures and anatomy here.
Incorporating the other characters to show their reactions helped emphasize the sheer power of the fight.

Turbulence- 52 pts.

Wayne gathered an impressive team to help him bring a great entry.
With a charming underdog hero, cool cameos, an engaging storyline that supported the overall narrative, and great art.
They managed to hit every contest requirement squarely.

I like the immediate sense of danger and the almost frozen moment of time in the second panel.
I like the early banter. Nice use of other characters to give a sense of the larger fight/story, Dynamic layouts.

Tankstream- 39 pts.

Nelson outdid himself working in a new style to bring us a cleanly told story.
Not only did he position his OC as the underdog, but he displayed his heroic character by rendering aid to his opponent.

The stakes escalate quickly for the hero.
The storytelling is nice and clear.
And I love that the antagonist takes an extra minute to fasten his seat belt, lol.

Inter- 47 pts.

I have long admired Damian's unique artistic style. It's dramatic, powerful, and wildly fun.

And he used it to bring us an exciting and kinetic match-up! Each panel is a work of art.

Dynamic action and anatomy throughout. Strong rendering and FX. A really epic battle.

Onyx- 38 pts.

Fuzzy did a great job reaching outside his comfort zone to bring us his first complete story starring his OC Onyx.

Cool cameos and an energetic fight scene made for a job well done on his first storytelling outing.

Nice splash page to set the scene and introduce characters.
I like the main character’s attitude and the use of teamwork to end the fight.
