It’s been a very busy week, but I’d like to take a minute to share a few things.

************** Majestic XII **************
First, Justin Leach over at is about release his new comic
MAJESTIC-XII: Top-Secret / For Majic Eyes Only.

He’s sent me an advanced copy and asked me to review it here.

Since I don’t normally do reviews, I’ll cover
the things that make or break a comic for me,
storytelling, art, and story in that order.

1- Storytelling: To me this is the most important element of any comic, the ability to tell a story with art only.
Can the reader follow the action without reading the words.
Andrew Killian did the penciling on Majestic XII. Andrew is
a great illustrator and while you will need to read along to catch everything,
I think that has more to do with having to pack a lot of information it one
book than any fault of the storyteller. All in all he’s done a fine job bringing us
Majestic XII issue #1.
2- Art: I value storytelling over art only because storytelling is what our art form is about.
But art is a very close second, it’s usually what grabs your attention in the first place, right?
Well, the art in Majestic XII will definitely grab your attention.
Andrew Killian’s pencils are sharp ,clean and professional looking.
Combined with Remalante and Teardrop’s color bring together a sweet
looking book you’ll enjoy looking at.
3- Story: Without spoiling too much Majestic XII is about an invisible war going on without our knowledge.
A battle being waged between our government and an alien empire bent on enslaving our entire species.
Our only hope is a super-human military force known as THE MAJESTIC-XII.
You may have heard similar storylines before but Majestic XII is full of enough colorful and diverse characters to keep you more than interested.
There’s plenty of action and ending that will have you waiting for the next issue.

Overall Majestic XII is a good read you’re sure to enjoy.
The release date is November 15th.

**************One Dollar Fighter **************

Hey, I won my first round in 1 Dollar Fighter competition.
It was a 3 - way fight to the death, but Vector found a way to win without killing anyone.

You know those hero types.
Next round is this weekend, let's see if Vector can pull it off again. ;D


************** Vector Action Figure **************


When I had my first customs done [link] and showed them to my mom, the first thing she said was "I want one."
...and she said it in the Mom voice.
Feeling like a heel I said "Mom, I cant give you one of these, but I promise to have one made special for you."
Tomorrow is her birthday and she's my biggest fan.

The figure was customized by Vernon Gibbs [link]

The packaging was redesigned and painstakingly reconstructed by myself.

The hardest part was ....well it was all kind of hard, but purging the plastic of the old cardboard and paint with out damaging it was surprisingly difficult.

This is not the action figure is working on for me.
That's a seperate issue.
